Fergie is eyeing Serbian wonderkids Adem Ljajic and Zoran Tosic in the hope of snapping them both up for Manchester United when the transfer window opens in January. Here's all you need to know about the two whippersnappers.
1. Both players paly their trade at Serbian Superliga giants FK Partizan where striker Adem Ljajic is nicknamed ‘Little Kaka’ because of his similarity to the Brazilian ace, and winger Zoran Tosic is known as Bambi, because he’s so skinny.
2. Ljajic is the first Partizan player to wear the number 22 since Serbian legend Saša Ilić the club left in 2005.
3. Tosic, meanwhile, has been compared to a young Sinisa Mihajlovic who won the European Cup with Red Star Belgrade.
4. Last year a handful of European sides, including Inter Milan and Spartak Moscow, tried to sign Ljajic. The midfielder stayed in Serbia after signing a three-year contract with Partizan.
5. Zoran Tosic starred for Serbia during the 2008 Beijing Olympics and has played in both Serbia’s World Cup qualifiers this autumn.
6. Despite being 6ft tall, Ljajic says that his main weakness is heading.
7. Tosic describes himself as "a normal guy who loves his dog, his home town of Zrenjanin, his girlfriend Dijana and going to the cinema.”
8. It’s expected that United will have to pay £7million for Adem Ljajic.
